Why Gospel Singer Yinka Ayefele dumped Aloy for Galaxy [1]
Yinka Ayefele
Can a marketer give a musician ten million naira in Nigeria today talk less of 40 millon? Where will he see it from? The only reason I called Galaxy myself to do the distribution for me is not because of money. I just thought that if Ayefele is not alive today, Aloy will sell another artiste. So, I am the one with the image. He is a little bit slow. I shot the video myself and edited it myselfand it's not like he sponsored it.
The Gratitude video that should come out with Absolute Praise Audio CD as my fans expected, didn't come out. We thought it would come out in January, but it didn't. Then Easter, again it didn't. When it is not as if work has finished. I guess he had so much to do.
I now sent for Galaxy because I happen to know him as a good marketer. It's not stopping my relationship with Aloy. He slept in my house on Friday and was with me on Saturday. So, our relationship is intact. He sells my works with him. The mere fact that Galaxy did this doesn't mean he will sell my next album. It's just a slight twist between Aloy and I.

Dbanj: Reports Archive
African music sensation, DBanj, is savouring the experience of a nationwide concert in the ongoing Glo Rock ‘N’ Rule, which is touring 18 major cities across Nigeria .
So far, the train has covered eight cities with the Calabar leg slated for Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Sports complex of the University of Calabar . Thereafter, the event proceeds on a Christmas andNew Year break and will resume in Ibadan on January 17, 2009.
For DBanj, who few weeks ago won three major laurels namely Best Male, Artiste of the Year, and Listener’s Choice awards in the MTV Africa Music Awards, the tour is an opportunity to take his brand of music to millions of his fans across the country in their own locality.
In the eight Rock ‘N’ Rule shows held in various cities so far, DBanj pulled thousands of his supporters to the venues to enjoy good music free courtesy of Globacom, which has committed millions of naira to ensuring a swell time for music lovers nationwide.
In Asaba for example, DBanj told the audience at the Asaba Arcade venue of the concert on Friday, October 31, 2008, that his performance there was his first in that city and that it was a fantastic experience meeting his fans right in their own environment.
In several other cities, thousands of his fans waited until late in the evening for their music idol to mount the stage even when they knew that his performance was going to be the last for the night.
If not for the water-tight security ring provided for the music icon by security experts, Voltron, many fans, especially kokolets are always ready to jump into the embrace of the Koko master.
Observers believe that the tour will continue to expand DBanj’s soaring popularity among Nigerians, both young and old.
“He has a way of always engaging the crowd during the show and they seem to want him to continue non-stop”, said a female fan who watched the show in Port Harcourt two weeks ago.
